The mission of the Orchard Mesa Neighbors in Action is to preserve and enhance the unique character of Orchard Mesa.

Orchard Mesa is located in Mesa County, Colorado. It encompasses both incorporated portions of Grand Junction and unincorporated portions of the county. We are unique geographically, since much of Orchard Mesa is 100 feet or more above both the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers. Because of an efficient canal system, however, Orchard Mesa is home to verdant orchards and vineyards - and to the south, hosts a unique desert environment - The Old Spanish Trail and the Gunnison River Bluffs - that is home to Desert Blue Jays, foxes, coyotes, rabbits, owls, eagles and numerous plants such as Prickly Pear Cactus, 4 O'Clocks, Desert Daisies and Moon Flowers. Even an occassional bear or mountain lion shows up to thrill us.
